BACK PAIN
What is Back pain?
Back pain is a very common disorder that leads to severe pain in the muscles and bones of the lower back. The pain can be classified as to more than 6 weeks time OR in some cases more than 12 weeks which is considered as Chronic back pain.
How a person gets back pain?
There are several reasons that causes back pain. Some of them are listed below
1. Back Muscle Strain - Back pain due to muscle pull wherein sudden movement.
2. Sitting too long – sitting too long in one posture causes back pain.
3. Incorrect way of doing various exercises also causes back pain.
4. Wrong sitting and sleeping habits
5. Repetitive work.
6. Driving a vehicle for a long time
How Yoga helps to cure Back Pain
Yoga exercise strengthens the back muscles as well as the abdominal muscles. Also it stretches your back muscles and brings flexibility in the spinal cord, hence giving relief from back related problems.
1. Kandrasana ( 10-20 times )
2. Kama chakra asana ( 10 - 20 times )
3. Bhujangasana ( 10 - 20 times )
4.Pawanmukt Asana ( 10 - 20 times )
5. Anulom Vilom & Kapalbhati,Bhastrika Pranayam ( 20 to 40 times for each pranayam )
6.Sitting Stretching exercises ( 10-20 times )
7.Light exercises for Arms and legs.( 10 times for each )
Precautions :
1.Do not pratice any Asan OR Pranayam in which you don’t feel comfortable.
2.Do not over do the exercises if you feel pain in your body.
3.Start exercises mildly and then increase the repetitions as per your capacity.
4.People suffering from Back pain,Slip disc OR chronic disease should only practise Yoga and other exercises under Expert supervision otherwise don't do it
5.Pregnant women should only practise Yoga and other exercises only under the supervision of an expert otherwise do not practise any exercise by watching videos or website material.
