What is Bhramri pranayam?

 

   Bhramari is a process in which index finger has to be placed on forehead, thumbs has to be kept in your ears and has to be pushed gently so that no outer noise can be heard now the rest three fingers has to be kept on your eyes like a covering cap. After taking the position deeply breathe in from your nose and breathe out making a humming sound like a bee through your nose.

 

How to do bhramari pranayama?

 

1.    Sit in Padmasana, Siddhasana,Ardha Padmasana, OR Sukhasana.

2.    Breathe normally and relax the whole body.

3.   Then plug both the ears with thumb and close the eyes.

4.  Now, the eyes are kept closed by using the middle fingers.

5.   Take a slow deep breath and fill the lungs fully.

6.   Then exhale slowly, making a continuous humming sound from the throat.

7. The sound should reverberate in the head.

8.   One should feel the sound vibration in the head.
